    Tooth Extraction In Dubai

The third molars (wisdom teeth) may some often not have enough space to erupt and end up being retained in the jaw. It may be required to remove them when causing symptoms such as pain and swelling of the gum or when they are associated with cysts. Wisdom teeth or third molars are the teeth furthest away in the dental arches and they usually are the last ones to erupt, normally between age 18-22. When they have not completed their eruption at that time and are completed submerged under the gum they are called “impacted”, if they are only partially covered by the gum “semi-impacted”. It is generally recommended the extraction of third molars that are “symptomatic”, this means in cases when they cause pain, infections, damage to other teeth or if they are related with other pathologies like cysts and tumors.

  • One of the very frequent concerns from our patients is the replacement of missing teeth. The most common cause of teeth loss is periodontitis.

One of the very frequent concerns from our patients is the replacement of missing teeth. The most common cause of teeth loss is periodontitis, this is the loss of bone and support tissue around the teeth, promoting their mobility and subsequent loss. Among other causes may be tooth decay, trauma, and developmental defects. There are several alternatives for replacing teeth that patients might have lost for any of those reasons.

The use of dental implants to replace the lost teeth is an excellent alternative and the most natural way. Other alternatives such as fixed bridges and dentures have been used to replace missing teeth, however, dental implants have become the most popular solution due to their high success rate, the predictability of the implanting procedure, and the very good aesthetic results.

The treatment plan in dental implants is one of the most important steps before performing the procedure. It will be necessary to evaluate the medical condition of the patient and the quantity and quality of the bone jaw to design and customize a treatment plan. The plan addresses the specific needs of the patient and is prepared by professionals who are specially trained and experienced in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.

A dental implant is a small cylindric or conic screw made of titanium that is surgically submerged into the bone of the upper or lower jaw, replacing the root of the tooth that has been lost. Once the implant is placed, the healing process, which consists in the healing of the bone around the titanium implant, may take about 4 to 12 weeks to heal for the lower jaw and generally longer fort the upper jaw. This can vary depending on the bone quality and health conditions of each individual patient.

Once the healing is completed, a crown, bridge, or denture that has been previously designed will be placed over the implant, giving the patient function and aesthetic. In some specific cases it is possible to place a temporary crown over the implant on the same day of the surgery.

There are many advantages to dental implants: they don’t require cutting or reducing other teeth – as it is necessary in a tooth supported bridge. This also helps to do the cleaning easier and provides an overall better oral hygiene.

Most dental implants are successful and durable, and with good care many implants could last a whole lifetime. Dental implants require the same care as natural teeth, so it is relevant to practice good oral hygiene, brush twice a day, floss once daily and rinse with mouth wash. It is important to avoid biting hard items such as ice and hard candy, because they can break both the crown and the natural teeth.

If the patient is grinding or clenching the teeth or crowns it will be necessary to enhance the treatment with a nightguard to protect both the teeth and the dental implants.

Dental examinations are very important to successful implants, cleaning and examination every six months are recommended to ensure that dental implants are in good condition.

Dental implants are not recommended for heavy smokers, for patients that had radiotherapy on the jaw area, for patients with diabetes without treatment, with untreated gum diseases or metabolic disorders of the bone. However, each case is different, and it is very important to inform the doctor about any medical problems you have, and in that way, it will be possible to choose the best treatment for each case.

Scaling is referred to as cleaning of soft plaque, hard tartar (calculus), and stains from the teeth surface.it relieves the gum to stay healthy and firm. Polishing means to smoothen the rough teeth surface by a medicated polishing paste, which is applied after scaling.

There are two types of scaling usually done in daily practice-

Supragingival scaling: Removal of plaque, tartar and stains above the gum line or neck of the teeth. The soft plaque forms by the consumption of sweet, sticky and acidic foods, use of tobacco, smoking and sticks to the teeth and stays if not properly cleaned. When plaque stays for longer duration it converts into calculus and hardens, which irritates the surrounding gums.

Sub-gingival scaling: Removal of plaque and tartar below the gum & bacterial infection in GUM Disease. Gum disease is a term where your gum starts bleeding, bad breathe,& swelling in a particular time if cleaning is not done, it’s a high chance that your teeth can start loosening there bone support and can ends up in tooth loss.

Procedure: Scaling is done under local anesthesia also application of soothing anesthetic gel for the comfort of patients.

When to follow up?: A healthy individual can go for scaling once in a year,& for a person having underlying medical conditions should visit their dentist after every 6 months of time

Dental Braces Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with correction of malposed teeth and jaws. It also focuses on modifying facial growth. The treatment duration depends on the severity of the problem, which can vary from 10 months to 2 years.

    Teeth movement during braces treatment-

Orthodontist moves the teeth by applying light pressure on the teeth with the help of braces. These light pressures are within the biological limit, which doesn’t cause any damage on the teeth and surrounding bones covering the teeth and gums. A patient supposes to visit the orthodontist every 21-28 days for braces adjustments to make sure the teeth moves in right direction.

Right age to start braces treatment-

Braces treatment can be started as early as in mixed dentition stage, as doesn’t have any age limit. First braces consultation is recommended at the age of 7 years. As long as your teeth, gums and bones surrounding the teeth are healthy.

    > Damon are of two types-Metal & Clear.

    > Painless and Easier to clean.

    > No discomfort and less treatment time.

    > Strong and durable.

    Retention after braces treatment-

The orthodontic treatment does not end once you remove your braces. Retention phase is also a part of orthodontic treatment. Retainers help in retaining the position of the teeth after braces are removed. There are mainly two types of retainers, fixed and removable. Your orthodontist would be the right person to decide the duration of wear of retainer and type of retainer suitable for your teeth.
